Join your Hawaiian guides, Manu Josiah and Leilehua Yuen, in motorcycle tours of the Hawaiian Islands. The summer months are an ideal time to take a motorcycle tour of Hawaii! Never too hot, you can ride in the warm sun and gentle breezes of our tropical islands. While you enjoy the perfect riding weather, learn about the fascinating and ancient Hawaiian culture from your Native Hawaiian guides. Manu spent his childhood in the mountains of Kohala, while Leilehua grew up on the shores of Hilo Bay. Both were taught many of the old ways by their grandparents. Now, you have an opportunity to enjoy their islands with them, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, or your own bike, on some of the world's most beautiful roads. Motorcycle tours are available on O`ahu and Hawai`i islands.

Combining their love of their islands and their culture, Manu and Leilehua will take you on motorbike adventures you will never forget! They will lead you from ancient sacred sites to cutting-edge astronomical observatories, from sandy beaches to windswept mountain tops,  and through it all, like the thread that holds together the many flowers of a lei, they will weave the story of Hawaii's people and culture, all while you enjoy traveling on a Harley-Davidson, or your own, motorcycle..

Retired from the United States Navy, Manu has a special interest in the naval tactics used by Pai`ea Kamehameha to unite the Hawaiian Kingdom. A motorcycle tour with Manu can take you from ancient battlefields to Pearl Harbor, and include temples of healing.

Manu's experience living in a variety of cultures gives him an unusual ability to help people from around the world to understand the Hawaiian culture

Leilehua is a teacher of hula and Hawaiian cultural arts. Also a popular local songwriter and musician, you never know when she will start singing her way through one of her Hawaiian motorcycle tours!

Both Both Manu and Leilehua have ridden thousands of miles on Hawaii's roads and know how to have the most fun per mile!

Lei-making, traditional crafts, Hawaiian music and hula are among the hands-on aspects of Hawaiian culture you may choose to explore. You could end up with a beautiful woven bracelet to take home, or a new song to sing! Feel free to either participate, or just sit back and relax.

The crafts and other activities are carefully chosen to illustrate and enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the sites you will ride to.

For an unforgettable vacation, take a Hawai`i Motorcycle Tour with Manu and Leilehua. There is no better way to explore Hawai`i than on a motorcycle.

There are also opportunities for shopping, and time to sample the tasty local foods and beverages. Year-round riding weather also assures comfortable outdoor dining!

Meet new people, both from the islands and from many different countries.

Koa Ell is the knowledgable cultural resource person for the Astronaut Ellison Onizuka Center for Astrononmy Visitor Information Station. She also cages for Hawai`i Motorcycle Tours. Be nice to her - she hauls the food!

Momi Subiono handles programs and outreach education at the Bishop Museum's Amy BH Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden. That wine box on the back of Leilehua's bike is full of native Hawaiian plants she is taking home.

Be sure to toss your swimsuit, sunscreen, and a towel in your saddlebags!

See native wildlife. The honu, or green sea turtle, a threatened species, nests on the beaches of Hawai`i.

Pu`uhonua o Honaunau, one of six Places of Refuge which in ancient times served the island of Hawai`i, is now a National Historical Park. If you lived in the district of Kona, and had broken one of the ancient laws, you would have swum in here to ask forgiveness.
